After a long speculation of will they-won’t they, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have finally tied the knot in Italy on December 11.
Giving all rumours a rest, Virat and Anushka have formally declared the news on Twitter with the most lovely pic and caption ever. In an official statement, it’s been disclosed that the marriage was attended by family and a couple of friends as they wanted their wedding to be a really personal affair.
In their wedding ceremony Virat looked dashing as always in his ivory sherwani and Anushka also looked stunning in her pastel colored lehenga designed by Sabyasachi.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli aforesaid in a joint statement, “Today we’ve promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share this wonderful news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”
The couple will be hosting a reception in New Delhi on 21st December which will be followed by a reception for industry friends and cricketers in Mumbai on 26th December.

Virat and Anushka will now be inviting all industry friends and colleagues for the celebrations that are set to happen in Mumbai.
The newlywed couple will go to South Africa and Virat will begin preparing for the forthcoming series and Anushka will spend New Year’s Eve with him and return in the 1st week of January to start the next schedule of Anand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai. She will also begin prepping for Sui Dhaaga as the shooting for a similar start in February 2018 with Varun Dhawan. Anushka will be busy with the marketing and promotions of Pari that is releasing on 9th February.
Virat, on the other hand, will be playing the series in South Africa for two months which includes 3 Tests, 6 ODIs and 3 T20I matches.

It is aforesaid that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli 1st met each other in 2013 whereas filming for a TV commercial. Rumours of the 2 dating started shortly when and fans across the country were rooting for the couple. However, this wasn’t the smoothest journey for the couple. Virat’s bad performances at the pitch were blamed on Anushka, however, Virat stood up for his girl and put up this Instagram post defending her.
Anushka also acknowledged their relationship, however, decided to remain tight-lipped once their bond was scrutinized by fans and took far away from the main focus of her work. During the promotions of NH10, Anushka was visibly upset when a journalist was more interested in her relationship than her film.
Post their wedding the newlywed couple will be shifting to their new home Mumbai in December once they return from Delhi.
Anushka and Virat are together since he earned the renowned position of captain and has been with him through thick and thin.
